The Post You've All Been Waiting For Since Wednesday
Halloween afternoon, we picked up the little dude early from Lisa's and headed to Stony Brook village, where they were hosting their annual Halloween Festival. Our puppy dog was in a much better mood in his costume by then.
After surveying the scene, Robert went off in search of stores at which he could trick-or-treat.
It took him a few stores to figure it out, but once he realized what was going on (the game was to take something from the nice shopkeepers and put it in your pumpkin bucket), he really got into it.
Robert stopped to take a break at one of the hay displays.
One of the shops had a little doggie! And the women were dressed as... um... well, I'm not quite sure. But Daddy wanted to go back for more candy.
Robert finally realized that it was candy that was going into his bucket, so he asked us to open a lollipop for him... which we did, and which he very much enjoyed.
When we got home, it was back on the road again, this time around the neighborhood to finish filling up the bucket with treats!
Eventually, it got dark, and as much as Robert wanted to continue, it was time to go home and change out of his costume for dinner.
This picture doesn't really do it justice, but Robert was trying to copy Dad, who was leaning on the cabinets folding his arms. It's hard to fold your arms when you're trying to chug a sippy cup of milk.

The dog costume is much better then the "Daddy" costume... but I like that one too.
