Citi Field, Sunday, April 5: At The Park

Arrived at "Not Shea" a little after 10:00, giving us plenty of time to check everything out. Parked in our usual spot under the subway tracks, which gave us easy access to the main gate behind home plate.

Robert started the day pouting (below), because he just wanted to see Mr. Met, and had not done so yet, even though we'd been inside the stadium for almost a full minute by that point:

Our first view of the field was through the Ebbets Club, right behind home plate:

Mr. Met!

We grabbed a seat and relaxed for a while:

Even Bobo got to explore the park.

Robert observing a moment of silence for Shea, which used to exist in that giant pit of gravel in the middle of the parking lot:

(Okay, it wasn't really a moment of silence. He was fascinated by the big window, and he wanted to try to look straight down... so he took his hat off and got up really close to the window.)

The old scoreboard skyline made it over to Citi Field, which I was really happy to see, even though it now lives over the Shake Shack concession stand:

The new apple, ready to pop:

These windows in left field contain an exclusive restaurant of some kind:
