76 Trombones Led The Big Parade...

Mom & Dad took me to see the St. Patrick's Day Parade today! I don't know what that is, but it sure must be important, because there were a lot of dogs there!

We got there really early so we could get a good spot to see all the dogs.

There was an ambulance nearby! I thought Aunt Lauren might be there, so I went over to say hello.

I'm not so good at this "walking" stuff yet.
It turns out Aunt Lauren wasn't over there after all.

I got to run around the street, which was awesome.

Then Mom took me for a walk to see all the other people and dogs. (That's me in the middle, in my yellow fleece jacket.)

Then it was time for the parade to start! Apparently, all the people and dogs walking by were just some sort of opening act.

First, the policemen rode by on their motorcycles. I was very impressed.

Then some old guy with a megaphone came by. Mom says Grandma Savard knows him; his name was Chuck something-or-other. He must have been running for office. He wasn't Elmo, so I had no idea who he was.

I got to sit on Dad's shoulders, which is always fun! We saw lots of big floats.

Then Mom and I danced to the marching band.

Hey! I totally know that guy! I met him once!

I was very impressed with all the marching bands, and the bagpipers, and the firefighters. I really enjoyed the bands... I liked the drummers! I saw lots of noisy firetrucks, but apparently Mom & Dad forgot to take pictures of them for me.

I was pretty wiped out when I got home... but can we go to a parade tomorrow too?

Robbie, I guess it's true... You can't go anywhere without seeing someone who knows your Grandma!
