Robert Makes "Music Together"

We've been attending "Music Together" classes for a couple of semesters now. They're ten-week music classes for ages 0-5; all the details are available at the link.

Anyway, Robert loves the classes more than anything. The fascinating thing to us is that whereas he rarely does a lot of singing in class, he brings every piece of it home. And as such, almost every night before bed, we do music class. Molly, his best friend in the class, and Margaret, his teacher, are not included -- but Robert more than makes up for it, running the class his own way, starting with Margaret's drum-on-her-head prologue and drumming technique (it's hard to explain, but he really has his Margaret impression down pat -- even though he doesn't really show it in this video) and running through his favorite songs, a lullaby, and the goodbye song... just like every class.

A few notes before the video: First, like I said, he usually starts with his Margaret impression, which he skipped this particular night. Second, every time he goes over to his train table, he's "changing the track on the CD." I know it's hard to tell, but that's what he's doing (and I say so in the video). In class, Margaret goes over to the desk to check her notes and/or start her iPod between songs; so that's what he's doing. I think everything else is pretty straightforward.

With that, I give you Robert's six-minute Music Together class.
