Geneseo, Part II

Saturday morning... while the singers were all cloistered in Brodie rehearsing, Robert got the chance to explore his future college for the first time. First, we checked out the origami crane exhibit.

Then we took a run across the Upper Quad, toward the enormous new science building.

The building wasn't open, so Robert decided to jog around the rock path that runs around the perimeter, over towards the old Newton Lecture Hall.

He found some great rocks!

After a lot of walking, it was time to take a break, so we sat in Sturges Quad, listened to the clock tower -- which was AWESOME -- and discussed his future major and academic plan.

And talked with Pop-Pop.

And told Pop-Pop all about the clock!

Robert wanted to check out Daddy's old radio station, but the WGSU offices were closed.

Re-exploring the Upper Quad, Robert found a snail underneath a bush:

Uptown, we stopped into Buzzo's to meet the legend himself.

We also stopped at Royaltee's, and although we couldn't decide which shirt to buy, Robert bought himself a big boy cup from Daddy's fraternity.

We'll have to remember this picture when he gets to college someday.

Back at Grandma and Grandpa's, Robert chased the squirrels and birds around the yard for a while:

And discussed his day with Grandpa.

Robert was wiped out! He's napping now, and we'll head back down the hill to meet up with Mommy this afternoon.
