Vacation, Day 3: Sesame Place Kicks Our Butts

Day Two at Sesame Place started with the "walk of fame" they have outside the main gates:

Oscar was "greeting" folks as they came in, but Robert was too intimidated to get close:

Robert started to warm up to the enormous characters this morning at Breakfast with Cookie Monster.

Then we met Bert!

And we got a big hug from Ernie...

...who stole Robert's hat!

The Count was there and shared a thumbs-up:

As was Big Bird, who was apparently not a Mets fan. (He pointed at my shirt and shook his head. He must be friends with the Phillie Phanatic or something.)

We sat down to eat, and the characters came around to visit. Bert stopped by:

And so did the Count! Robert was thrilled.

And our host, Cookie Monster:

Ernie came and sat down, but Robert didn't want to sit with him. Ernie pretended to be sad, which made Robert jump down and run around and give him a big hug and kiss on the nose.

Another visit with Big Bird:

One breakfast was over, we went off for more rides.

And another visit with Elmo and Abby.

Robert giggled his way through the Monster Maze:

We caught Abby's Treasure Hunt, which featured some of our favorites:

One last ride on the carousel, and we were spent.

We bought a water camera this morning, so hopefully we'll have some more photos from that this weekend.

A great trip, but a day and half just completely knocked us out. We barely made it through the Abby show before we crashed. It's been really hot the last few days, and even drinking fluids constantly wasn't enough. We had a great dinner tonight at Mastori's, which is a gloriously overblown diner with a huge menu, even huger portions, and a delicious bakery. Two big thumbs up from us.

Oh, and I told you there was no way I was going home without one of these:

More tomorrow from Geneseo.
