Strong Museum

After Sesame Place, we spent a few days visiting Grandma and Grandpa in Geneseo. On Sunday, we went up to the Strong Museum. First stop was the giant fish tanks:

Then... WAIT! WHAT'S THAT?!?!

More Sesame Street!

"I know that guy!"

Emily stops to chat with video Abby...

...while Robert takes Cookie and Elmo for a ride in the cab.

Strong has lots of great interactive exhibits. You turn these wheels, and the letter cubes above them turn to spell different words:

And near the taxicab we saw earlier, they have a little "dispatcher's office" where you can "clock in".

One room is set up with a 1800's kitchen. Robert felt right at home and immediately jumped in to help cook.

He even made a phone call (to Nanny and Pop-Pop, as all phone calls are)...

...and composed a quick sonata.

He stopped in the "post office" to write out a postcard...

...and visited the butterfly house, which was really neat. (Although honestly, I could have done with a lot less bugs.)

Daddy's favorite part is the little mini-Wegmans. Robert grabbed his little cart and started shopping for... well... you know:

He checked out the meat counter, even "washed his hands," but decided to just go back for more macaroni and cheese instead.

On to the registers!

Some apple juice...

...and of course, multiple boxes of macaroni and cheese.

Don't forget your receipt!

Robert was tired, so he threw a temper tantrum in the middle of the floor. Thankfully, Grandma was having none of it.

A quick call to Elmo, and he was back on his feet.

Train ride with Daddy!
