A Night at Wolfie's House!
I got a couple of extra tickets to the football game on campus this evening, so despite the misty, rainy, yuck, Robert and I went to visit Wolfie. We got to campus, walked around and watched the marching band warm up, picked up a free T-shirt and pom-pom, then went off in search of Wolfie.
Robert got tired of holding his ticket after a few minutes:
"Wolfie over there?"
Watching the pregame warmups:
Off to find the big seawolf...
Robert wanted a pretzel, so Daddy had to go over to the Union to hit the ATM. Then it was back to the stadium:
Ah. Pretzel. Excellent...
"WOLFIE!"
Off to follow Wolfie again.
Found him!

Homework!
Being that he's apparently a boy genius, Robert has started working on letters with the older kids at school. So, with that, he came home on Friday with his first homework assignment... a big construction paper "B," to which he had to glue buttons and "anything else he could find that started with B."
So off he went, wandering the house muttering "buh buh buh B!" Then it was up to the workstation:
(Never mind the paper towels across the floor behind him. Apparently, the floor was "yucky.")
We stuck a Teddy Graham (aka a "Bobo Bear") on there as well, but a lot more of them found their way into his mouth than onto his project:
Voila!

Why is this boy smiling??
Why is Robert so happy in this picture? Maybe Mommy an Daddy got him a special treat...
His very own vacuum!!!
For anyone reading this who doesn't know, Robert it a tad obsessed with vacuums. He practically stalks ours, and even likes to watch "the Vacuum Show" on TV for hours (any infomercial featuring a remotely vacuum like product). Since he has been driving us a little nuts lately trying to get his grubby little hands on the big vacuum, we decided to break out an old Toys R Us gift card and get him one of his own. He is obviously thrilled.
Here are some shots of him vacuuming the living room...
And of course, he never misses the edges.
This has become an all-consuming activity this weekend, with Robert chalking up several straight hours of vacuuming over the course to Saturday and Sunday. Including during snack time when he enjoyed an ice pop... while vacuuming the kitchen.
And during the Mets game this afternoon... I don't think the thing has left his hands for more than five minutes all weekend. (BTW he took his pants off because he wanted to "see his legs.")Of course, when he is old enough to really vacuum the house, I'm sure he will refuse. Sigh.
