Hangin' With Bobo

Robert spent some quality time watching Elmo with his best friend Bobo this morning.

Bobo's feet got cold, so Robert offered up his slippers.

Then Mom arrived with breakfast... a cup of milk and toast with jelly!

"Bobo, you gotta try this stuff."

"So good!"

Robert checked through yesterday's mail, which included a nice ghostly Halloween card from Aunt Lauren.

And then it was back to Elmo.

"I'll Take One Order of the Beef Lo Mein..."

Looks like someone got into Mom's knitting bag...

Wolfstock!

Wolfstock, Stony Brook's Homecoming celebration, was held yesterday on campus. Lots of fun and excitement! Here's Mom & Robert:

The food tent was awesome. $20 got you all-you-can-eat samples from about three dozen places. Robert -- after getting a Wolfie tattoo on his cheek -- sampled just about everything.

"Hmm... what should I do next?"

"Ah, yes! The ponies!" One of the ponies was named Peanut. Robert didn't actually care, so he rode Oreo instead.

The petting zoo and animal area was awesome... kangaroos, parrots, giant turtles, monkeys... Robert loved it all.

We stopped in the merch tent to pick up a stuffed Wolfie.

But Robert was more impressed by the life-size painted wolves scattered around the grounds.

The School of Marine & Atmospheric Sciences hosted a touch tank. Dad was willing to touch; Robert was definitely more into looking.

They had a big pumpkin-painting area too! Robert did a great job on his pumpkin!

We're Moving To Vernon, Connecticut

How cool is this?

Now check the map:

Neat. Sadly, there was no Peanut Road to be found.

The Future of Men's Gymnastics

This evening, when Mommy put me to bed, I just wasn't interested in sleep. So I cried hysterically until Mommy came back and poked her head into my room to see if I was choking to death.

I immediately decided to stop crying and show off my gymnastics skills. I performed a nearly perfect vault out of my crib and onto the floor (I didn't quite "stick" the landing) and came over to meet her at the door. I was so proud of myself!

Watch out, Beijing!! I'll see you in 2008!

Dig A Pony

We had a great time this weekend at the Riverhead Country Fair! We love to go to this every year, and this year, Robert got to ride a pony!

And Dad!

Perhaps the highlight of the fair is, quite frankly, the food. Here's Robert enjoying an arepa, which is basically a grilled cheese sandwich, except it's made with delicious, delicious corn pancakes. (Awesome!) Thankfully, I was able to hide my entire funnel cake from him.

And A Visit To The Park

We're at the new park in Mount Sinai a lot, but we brought the new camera today:

A pensive moment:

"Wait! Dad! A bird! In the sky!"

Robert tried to climb up the slide, but was largely unsuccessful.

"Hey! Someone help me up onto this thing!"

"How about this one that's actually your size?"

After a long day of visiting and playing, it was time for a hard-earned rest.

"Ahoy! There be pirates!"

"And there be Mommy with the camera!"

"Down the escape hatch!"
