Pumpkin Picking
Nothing like spending a nice fall weekend morning out on the East End picking pumpkins, so we went to the place we really liked last year... only they had converted into a high-end nursery, and instead of picking your own from a field, they had pre-picked pumpkins scattered on the ground. We tried to get Robert to go elsewhere, but he was insistent on picking up a pumpkin there, so off we went. First, we checked out the turkeys:
Then we went to scope out the pumpkin field, where Robert checked out every...
...single...
...pumpkin:
Unfortunately, they were all "too heavy." So we went back to where they had some smaller pumpkins on a cart:
Even these were, however, "too heavy":
This one right here?
"Too heavy."
Robert checked out the gourds, but couldn't figure out exactly what they were.
So he found even smaller pumpkins.
And finally, a couple that were light enough for his specifications:
Off to pay!
(Bobo was impressed with his purchase as well.)

Huntington Fall Festival
Met Senator Chuck Schumer this morning, walking around the Huntington Fall Festival.
Bobo got his Obama ("Bo"bama?) sticker...
...while Daddy ate his funnel cake sporting a stylin' Ralph Nader pin.
We had a little incident on the way back to the car, when we suddenly realized Bobo was missing. Thankfully, we hadn't dropped him too far back; Emily went back and found that someone had stuck him on a fence next to the sidewalk. Both he and Robert were exhausted from the ordeal.

Saturday In The Park
We took a trip down to the Heritage Park in Mt. Sinai this afternoon, taking advantage of a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. Robert biked a bit...
...then stopped for ice cream.
Then it was off to the playground!
We came home and had ravioli for dinner. Robert tried to be helpful and offered to cut the bread. We tried to tell him it was too hot, so he grabbed a fork to hold the bread while he poked at it with a butter knife. Needless to say, he didn't really do much cutting.

A Few Random Photos From The Past Few Weeks
Why on earth would Robert have put all the animals in a circle like that? (And how did I get Peanut to actually stay there?)
Why, to play "Duck, Duck, Goose," of course.
From two Sundays ago -- Bobo tried to go with the rally cap last Sunday during the season finale loss to the Marlins, but it didn't work:
From the other day -- not Robert's best look:

Unfortunately, Dr. Ross was off last night...
But after two and a half years, we had our first toddler emergency room adventure last night. Robert and I were at the grocery store yesterday afternoon, and as we were leaving, he stood up in the cart and went ass over teakettle onto the floor. He was a little shaken, but we went to the hospital, took a few X-rays, and he's okay.
This is a cell phone photo of I took at the ER... thanks to April, one of the nurses, who kept him supplied with paper and crayons throughout our wait, and thanks to the radiologist and his tech, who did a great job considering they had a concerned two-year-old on the table.
And thanks to Robert for being a good boy throughout the whole ordeal!
(Dr. Ross, right? George Clooney? Ah, forget it.)
